Reelwire does not post on Instagram itself yet. Until it does, a channel on Instagram is handed over by email or by webhook, and posted from there.
Why not yet
As of September 2026: Posting to Instagram goes through Meta's Instagram API, for professional accounts only, with a publishing permission Meta grants only after reviewing the app and verifying the business behind it.
Post meanwhile
Every channel on Instagram can do what every channel could before the connectors:
- By email. Switch on Email under When a post is due, and a person posts from the post kit: Post a video by hand, Let your AI assistant post it or Post through a posting service.
- By webhook. Switch on Webhook, and a system of yours posts it, with nobody in between: Post through the platforms' APIs, Let an AI session post it or Post through a posting service's API.
Posting services already post to Instagram for their customers, which is often the quickest way there.
Shapes
A channel on Instagram renders 9x16, posted as a Reel, or 4x5 and 1x1, posted to the feed. Its text is fitted to what Instagram takes.
Ask for it
Need Instagram sooner? Press Request Instagram support in the channel's Platform connector section, or write to support@reelwire.io, with what you post there and how often, and we look at it with you.
