Post through a posting service

Reelwire makes the video and hands it over; it does not post it. Posting on a schedule, to several accounts on several platforms, is a job posting services already do well, and many teams have one already. This guide puts Reelwire's videos into one by hand, from the post kit: nothing to set up, and a person decides what goes out and when.

To have it happen with nobody in between, each post going from your webhook straight to the service's API, see Post through a posting service's API.

What a posting service is

A posting service, also called a social media scheduling or management tool, connects once to your accounts on each platform. From then on you give it a video and its text, pick the accounts, and it publishes them now or at the time you set, to several platforms at once, with a calendar of what goes out when. Most also offer an API: one address your own system can call to post to every platform, while the service deals with each platform's own API, its sign-in, its limits and its changes. So one integration replaces eight to eleven.

This guide uses the service's own app, by hand, from the post kit. Its API is for Post through a posting service's API, where each post goes from your webhook to the service with nobody in between.

Which service

Reelwire is not affiliated with any of them, and works with any service that can post a video from a file or a link. The list follows Buffer's comparison of multi-platform posting APIs of June 2026 (Buffer is one of the services in it), checked against each service's own site in September 2026, with the platforms' own APIs as the way without a service. Plans, prices and platform lists change more often than this page, so check them on the service's own site before you choose.

If you want to compare how your posts did in Analytics and run A/B tests, pick a service that hands back more than views. Ayrshare, Post for Me and Zernio return watch time and, for a TikTok business connection, how many watched to the end; all three can also read a post you published another way, by the platform's own id. Buffer returns views, reach and watch time to your own key. Postiz and Outstand return mostly counts. No service returns anything for Telegram, whose views you type in by hand. Your receiver then sends the numbers to Reelwire: see Analytics in the API manual.

For posting by hand from the post kit, pick a service with an app to post in, such as Buffer or Postiz. The others are made for posting from your own system, through the webhook. Whichever you choose, check that it posts video to each platform you need, in the shapes your channels use (a 9x16 Reel is not a 1x1 feed post).

Step by step

  1. Give the channels whose posts go this way Email under When a post is due (Channels). The workspace owner and everybody holding Operations get an email when a post is due.
  2. Open the post kit with the button in the email. For each channel: Download video, then copy the text with its Copy button. On a phone, Share hands the video straight to the service's app, if it has one, and Download cover saves the still for a service that asks for a cover.
  3. In the posting service, make a post with that video and that text, for the account the channel stands for, and schedule or publish it there.
  4. Once it is live, go back to the post kit and press Mark as published, with the link to the post if you have it. It then reads Published on Posts. A post you decide not to use is Skip this post instead.

A channel on No specific platform carries its text in three lengths, one for each kind of platform: copy the one for where the service will post it.

The post kit's link works for 14 days. After that, the same video and text are on Posts under View and download, for as long as the clip is kept in your storage.
