Example video

The 1x1 cut of this feed, drawn from an example of what it carries. Open the video on its own.

Use cases

  • Council and authority announcements, the moment they are published.
  • Dates people plan around: waste collection, opening hours, public events.
  • Open data made visible: air quality, water levels, traffic or budget figures.
  • This week's offers, per store, on every channel the shop runs.
  • Opening times and holiday changes, before customers have to ask.
  • Seasonal campaigns and price changes, drawn straight from the product data.

What it carries

Up to sixteen things with dotted leaders drawing to their prices, written exactly as sent, in pages where they do not fit one; a total under the list, added up as each price lands or sent, and an optional saving. metaData is the post's title, descriptions and hashtags and is never drawn.

FieldTypeRequiredLimitWhat it is
clipDatagroupyesClip data: Everything drawn: a kicker, the title, up to sixteen things with their prices, a total and a saving where you want them, the source and the look.
clipData.kickertextup to 20 charactersKicker: A word above the title, such as THIS WEEK or TODAY'S MENU.
clipData.titletextyesup to 80 charactersTitle: What the list is: a menu, the specials, a meal from the offers, the fees.
clipData.currencyenumyesEUR, USD, GBP, CHF, SEK, NOK, DKK, PLN, CZK, HUF, CAD, AUD, NZD, MXN, BRL, JPY, INR, ZARCurrency: The currency of every price, written the way the channel's language writes it (€5.49, 5,49 €). A thing in another currency says so itself.
clipData.itemslistyesat least 1, up to 16Things and prices: One to sixteen, drawn in this order, as many to a page as the frame holds at a size that reads; each adds a second, so sixteen run about 21 seconds.

clipData.totalnumberfrom 0, to 9999999.99, 2 decimalsTotal: A total of your own, such as a bundle or menu price, counted up under the list once every price has landed, in the list's currency.
clipData.totalLabeltextup to 28 charactersWhat the total is: Written beside the total, saying what it adds up, such as Total. Left out, the total stands alone.
clipData.savingnumberfrom 0, to 9999999.99, 2 decimalsSaving: How much is saved, written under the total. Sent, never worked out.
clipData.savingLabeltextup to 36 charactersWhat the saving is: Written beside the saving, such as Saving. Left out, the saving stands alone.

clipData.styleWordsgroupStyle words: The few words some styles write into their own frame, each drawn exactly as written, in the language you write it in. locales carries other languages: under each language code, the parts of clipData and metaData that differ, laid over the default, so a language with no copy still renders.

A picture is always a file from your media library: media:// followed by its id or its name. Anything the table does not list is refused, and so is anything over its limit, with a 400 schema_validation error that names the field.

Which template draws a feed is Reelwire's decision and can change, so a producer asks by the feed, as above, rather than by its template.

The rice and the coconut milk will last for a second meal, which brings the price per plate down further.\n\nThe curry takes about forty minutes. Cut the chicken thighs into pieces and brown them in a large pan with a little oil. Add the sliced peppers and let them soften for five minutes, then pour in the coconut milk, season, and let it simmer gently for twenty minutes while the rice cooks. The coriander goes on at the end, roughly chopped, and the mangoes are cut just before serving so they stay cold.\n\nFor a version without meat, swap the chicken for two tins of chickpeas, which brings the total down by about two euros. Add them with the coconut milk rather than browning them first.\n\nIf anybody at the table does not like heat, the curry as written has none: the flavour comes from the coconut milk and the coriander. A spoon of curry paste stirred in with the peppers adds some for those who want it.\n\nThe offers run from Monday to Sunday, while stocks last. Prices are per item as marked on the shelf, and the total is the sum of the prices shown, to the cent.",

feedId names this feed and never changes, even when the feed is renamed. eventId is set once per event, so an event delivered twice is published once. occurredAt is when it happened, which is what the freshness limit is measured from.
