What it accepts

A level reached on a known scale of three to ten: segments rising in strength in the brand colour, the reached one lit and standing taller, its name in words and what it means, then up to four more readings, one at a time. For flood and storm warnings, fire danger, the UV index, a risk rating. metaData is the post title, descriptions and hashtags and is never drawn.

FieldTypeRequiredLimitWhat it is
clipDatagroupyesClip data: Everything drawn: a kicker, the title, the scale's name, its levels with the one reached, what that level means, a line of context, up to four more readings each on a page of its own, the source and the look.
clipData.kickertextup to 20 charactersKicker: A word above the title, such as WARNING or TODAY.
clipData.titletextyesup to 80 charactersTitle: What reached which level, where.
clipData.scaleNametextup to 24 charactersScale: What the scale is called, written before the level reached, such as Flood level, UV index or Fire danger.
clipData.levelintegeryesfrom 1, to 10Level reached: Which of the levels is lit, counting from 1 for the first in the list.
clipData.levelslistyesat least 3, up to 10Levels: Every level of the scale, lowest first: three to ten. Drawn in the brand's colour from light at the low end to strong at the high end, so send a scale whose best grade comes first (A on a hygiene rating) best first.
clipData.levels[]groupLevel
clipData.levels[].shorttextup to 3 charactersIn the segment: A number or letter written in the segment. Left out, its position counting from 1.
clipData.levels[].nametextyesup to 24 charactersName: The level in words, written under its segment where there is room and large when it is the one reached.
clipData.levels[].meaningtextup to 120 charactersWhat it means: Shown when it is the level reached.
clipData.notetextup to 140 charactersContext: One or two lines under the meaning, such as how long the level holds.
clipData.morelistat least 0, up to 4More readings: Further readings on the same scale, shown after the first, one at a time: the river at other gauges, tomorrow's UV index, the fire danger in other districts. Each has its title, the level it reached and a line of context, and the level's name and meaning come from the levels above. Each adds six seconds; four make about 32 seconds.
clipData.more[]groupReading
clipData.more[].titletextyesup to 80 charactersTitle: What reached which level, where.
clipData.more[].levelintegeryesfrom 1, to 10Level reached: Which of the levels is lit, counting from 1 for the first in the list.
clipData.more[].notetextup to 140 charactersContext: One or two lines under the meaning.
clipData.sourcetextup to 60 charactersSource: Where the levels came from, written small at the foot.
clipData.lookgroupLook: How the clip looks and moves within its style. The same five switches in every format of the collections. Leave a switch out, or set it to the style's own, and the style decides.
clipData.look.themeenumauto, brand, light, dark, boldTheme: The style's own choice; your brand's own colours and background; a light or dark page tinted with your brand colour; or your brand colour as the page.
clipData.look.paceenumauto, calm, standard, punchyPace: How things arrive: the style's own rhythm, calm fades, a standard rhythm, or punchy slams and cuts.
clipData.look.cornersenumauto, square, soft, roundCorners: The shape of cards, panels and marks.
clipData.look.alignenumauto, start, centreText alignment: Where the text lines up.
clipData.look.logoenumauto, freeLogo: The style's own: the logo on the style's plate (a card, a disc, a badge) so it reads on any page. As it is: the logo whole, with no plate, frame or crop, for a logo made to stand on the page, such as one with a transparent background. As it is, make sure your logo reads on the page of the theme you choose.
metaDatagroupMeta data: Everything about the post that is never drawn in the clip: its title, its description in four lengths, one per kind of platform, and its hashtags. Reelwire adds the brand's description, link and hashtags after it. Left out, the post text is generated from the clip data.
metaData.titletextup to 100 charactersTitle: Used where the platform has a title of its own: Facebook Feed, LinkedIn, Pinterest and YouTube. Up to 100 characters, which every one of them takes.
metaData.captionTinytextup to 200 charactersTiny description (Pinterest, Threads, X): Up to 200 characters. The brand's description, link and hashtags follow it within the platform's limit.

metaData.hashtags[]textup to 60 charactersHashtag

locales carries other languages: under each language code, the parts of clipData and metaData that differ, laid over the default, so a language with no copy still renders.

A picture is always a file from your media library: media:// followed by its id or its name. Anything the table does not list is refused, and so is anything over its limit, with a 400 schema_validation error that names the field.

Your own system sends this to one of your streams, POST /v1/stream, and every channel listening to that stream draws it with its template. data is the document described above; a stream with an empty field map passes it to the template unchanged. Try it first on POST /v1/stream/validate, which answers the same without publishing anything. Streams and feeds explains the rest, including how to map a document of your own shape instead.

"captionMedium": "The Ashbrook at Elmsford rose to flood level 3 of 5 overnight, after two days of heavy rain in the hills upstream. It is the highest level the gauge at Mill Bridge has measured since the floods of 2019.\n\nWhat level 3 means: cellars and low roads in the lower town may flood. The river authority asks everybody living or working between the river and Station Road to move valuables and important papers upstairs, keep sandbags ready at the door and park cars on higher ground.\n\nAlong the river: upstream at Hollin Bridge the Ashbrook is at level 2 and has stopped rising; the riverside path between Hollin and the old mill stays closed. Downstream at Kettle Ford it is at level 3 and expected to peak on Thursday evening; the Ferry Lane underpass is closed and buses on route 4 take the bypass.\n\nSandbags are handed out free at the Market Hall depot from 07:00, two per household. Help with carrying them is available for older residents; call the town hall's flood line.\n\nThe warning is valid until Friday at 18:00. The authority will update the levels twice a day, at 08:00 and 18:00.",
"captionLong": "The Ashbrook at Elmsford rose to flood level 3 of 5 overnight, after two days of heavy rain in the hills upstream. It is the highest level the gauge at Mill Bridge has measured since the floods of 2019, when the river reached level 4 and more than two hundred cellars in the lower town took water.\n\nWhat level 3 means: cellars and low roads in the lower town may flood. The river authority asks everybody living or working between the river and Station Road to move valuables and important papers upstairs, keep sandbags ready at the door and park cars on higher ground. Heating oil tanks in cellars should be closed and secured.\n\nAlong the river: upstream at Hollin Bridge the Ashbrook is at level 2 and has stopped rising; the riverside path between Hollin and the old mill stays closed until the level falls back to 1. Downstream at Kettle Ford it is at level 3 and expected to peak on Thursday evening, about forty centimetres below the level at which the warning there would rise to 4.\n\nSandbags are handed out free at the Market Hall depot from 07:00, two per household. Help with carrying them is available for older residents and for anybody who cannot manage on their own; call the town hall's flood line and give your address.\n\nThe meadows below the old mill and the underpass at Ferry Lane are closed. Buses on route 4 take the bypass and do not stop at Mill Bridge. The primary school on River Street stays open; parents are asked to use the entrance on Church Lane.\n\nThe scale has five levels. Level 1 is normal. At level 2, meadows and riverside paths may flood. At level 3, cellars and low roads in the lower town may flood. At level 4, homes and roads flood across the lower town and the emergency services may ask people to leave. Level 5 means danger to life.\n\nThe warning is valid until Friday at 18:00. The authority will update the levels twice a day, at 08:00 and 18:00.",

The delivery names no version: which build draws it is the channel's choice, the newest of its variant or the one it is pinned to. eventId is a ULID you make once per event: sending the same one again changes nothing. occurredAt is when the thing happened, not when you sent it. locale is the language of the text in data, and data.locales carries other languages beside it.
