Reelwire does not post on WeChat itself yet. Until it does, a channel on WeChat is handed over by email or by webhook, and posted from there.
Why not yet
As of September 2026: Posting to WeChat goes through an Official Account or a Channels account, which WeChat gives to verified businesses, and its publishing interfaces need that verification first.
Post meanwhile
Every channel on WeChat can do what every channel could before the connectors:
- By email. Switch on Email under When a post is due, and a person posts from the post kit: Post a video by hand, Let your AI assistant post it or Post through a posting service.
- By webhook. Switch on Webhook, and a system of yours posts it, with nobody in between: Post through the platforms' APIs, Let an AI session post it or Post through a posting service's API.
Shapes
A channel on WeChat renders 9x16, 4x5, 1x1 and 16x9, whichever you choose per channel. Its text is fitted to what WeChat takes.
